MG ZS EV voted ‘Car of the Year 2022’ by leading car magazine in Sweden
Teknikens Värld is a leading automotive magazine in Sweden. The magazine’s car tests are very thorough, with the models thoroughly assessed on all fronts. The test with the renewed MG ZS EV made a big impression. The SUV is praised for its performance in the braking test, as well as the recent improvements in range and charging speeds.

Another MG on the list!
Among the ten selected models that competed for victory in Teknikens Värld’s ‘Car of the Year 2022’ election, another MG model can be found. In addition to the MG ZS EV which finished in first place, the MG Marvel R Electric is number 8 in the list. According to the magazine, the Marvel R Electric proves that it’s not only competitive with its affordable price, but also competes in the premium class. In the final verdict, the MG Marvel R Electric is praised for its high quality, generous equipment and high comfort level.

High demand for award winning EV
With the introduction of the MG ZS EV in October 2019, the brand immediately disrupted the EV market. The MG ZS EV was the first 100% electric SUV that is truly affordable to the general public, while meeting all the needs in terms of functionality, safety, equipment and performance.
It is not without reason the MG ZS EV has already attracted more than 15,000 customers in its first year of sales, with which the model reached top positions in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Norway and France. In addition, the MG ZS EV was the first-ever 100% electric B-segment SUV to receive a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. As a star in its segment, the model was also named ‘Family Car of the Year 2021’ in the ‘Electric’ category by the Flemish Automobile Association (VAB).
Just as special was the flying start of sales of the MG ZS EV in Sweden. At MG’s launch event in Stockholm, people were literally waiting outside in the rain to see the models up close. After sales started at the end of April 2021, the MG ZS EV quickly became one of the best-selling electric cars in Sweden, with more than 5,000 orders until the end of the year.
