De bekende krant gaat uitgebreid in op de toenemende belangstelling in EV\u2019s uit China en het succes van MG in het bijzonder.<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>MG stond decennialang bekend om zijn pittige sportwagens uit Groot-Brittanni\u00eb, maar tegenwoordig staat het iconische, achthoekige merklogo symbool voor de ambitie om een grote speler te worden op de wereldwijde automarkt. MG is een perfect voorbeeld van hoe SAIC Motor \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/\/be-nl\/?p=5859\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">het moederbedrijf van MG<\/a> \u2013 de verschuiving naar elektrische mobiliteit aangrijpt om Europese, Japanse en Amerikaanse automerken uit te dagen die de auto-industrie al decennialang domineren, zo schrijft de krant. SAIC Motor, de grootste autofabrikant in China, verwierf het merk MG in 2007 en behoort tot de zeven grootste autofabrikanten ter wereld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China is de grootste automarkt ter wereld waar autoconcern als Mercedes-Benz, BMW en Volkswagen Group miljoenen auto&#8217;s verkopen. Andersom is dat een ander verhaal. De internationalisering van Chinese autobouwers breekt nu pas door, <a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/\/be-nl\/mg-sets-new-sales-record-september-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">met MG voorop<\/a>. En niet geheel onverdienstelijk. MG begon haar activiteiten op het Europese vasteland in oktober 2019 en heeft sindsdien al bijna 400 verkoop- en servicelocaties geopend in zestien Europese landen. Finland en Zwitserland worden daar binnen afzienbare tijd aan toegevoegd. De grote <a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/\/be-nl\/column-waarom-de-elektrificatie-van-europese-personenautos-moet-worden-versneld\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">verschuiving naar elektrische mobiliteit<\/a> is pas net begonnen en de vraag naar betaalbare elektrische voertuigen is nu al groter dan het aanbod. Bastian Stark, mede-eigenaar van autobedrijf Rumpel &amp; Stark in het Duitse Unterpleichfeld, weet daar alles van. \u201cToen ik door een vertegenwoordiger van MG werd benaderd om een \u200b\u200bMG Brand Store te worden, was ik eerst sceptisch. Voordat we het gesprek aangingen, wilde ik eerst rijden in de MG waar de vertegenwoordiger mee was gekomen. Al snel bleek dat het een goede auto was, met onderdelen van gerenommeerde leveranciers als Bosch, Valeo en Continental.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rumpel &amp; Stark voegde MG toe aan de verkoopactiviteiten en verkocht meteen al drie auto&#8217;s voordat \u00fcberhaupt een MG-logo aan de gevel was gehangen. \u201cKopers worden aangetrokken door de exceptionele prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en de relatief korte levertijden. Ik heb niets aan marketing gedaan!\u201d, aldus Bastian Stark. Sinds de verkoopstart van MG in <strong>Duitsland<\/strong> in april 2021 hebben al tientallen Brand Stores hun deuren geopend. Het doel is om daar tegen het einde van 2021 minimaal honderd dealers operationeel te hebben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het gesprek tussen The New York Times en Bastian Stark geeft een idee van de toenemende belangstelling in MG in heel Europa. Vooral de MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid en MG ZS EV weten de aandacht te trekken, terwijl de recent ge\u00efntroduceerde MG Marvel R Electric positief is ontvangen door de internationale autopers. Europa snakt naar elektrische gezinsauto&#8217;s die echt betaalbaar zijn voor het grote publiek en voldoen aan alle behoeften op het gebied van functionaliteit, veiligheid, uitrusting en prestaties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Slimme strategie loont<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het is niet voor niets dat de MG ZS EV in het eerste verkoopjaar al meer dan 15.000 klanten wist te bekoren. Hiermee behaalde het topposities in de verkoopstatistieken in <strong>Nederland<\/strong>, Denemarken, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Noorwegen en Frankrijk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Noorwegen<\/strong> behoort de MG ZS EV bestverkochte auto\u2019s van het land. In <strong>Frankrijk<\/strong>, waar al honderd MG Brand Stores open zijn, heeft MG onlangs de mijlpaal van 3.000 verkochte voertuigen bereikt. In het <strong>Verenigd Koninkrijk<\/strong> is MG het snelst groeiende automerk waar het nu zelfs meer auto\u2019s verkoopt dan een aantal gerenommeerde Japanse automerken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In<strong> Zweden<\/strong> zijn in de eerste drie maanden na de verkoopstart al 3.500 MG\u2019s verkocht. En in de eerste week na de recente introductie van de nieuwe MG Marvel R Electric en MG ZS EV bij de MG-flagshipstore in Stockholm zijn ruim 1.000 bestellingen geplaatst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Belgi\u00eb<\/strong> was de Vlaamse Automobielbond (VAB) zo onder de indruk van de MG ZS EV dat ze hem uitriepen tot \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/\/be-nl\/?p=5794\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gezinsauto van het Jaar 2021<\/a>\u2019 in de categorie \u2018elektrisch\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MG boekt ook vooruitgang in <strong>Itali\u00eb<\/strong>, waar tegen het einde van dit jaar zestig Brand Stores operationeel zullen zijn. In <strong>Spanje<\/strong> is MG een van de snelst groeiende merken, evenals in <strong>Oostenrijk<\/strong> door het aantrekkelijke aanbod en de relatief korte levertijden in tegenstelling tot de meeste andere merken waar de levertijden juist oplopen door het nijpende tekort aan computerchips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De MG ZS EV heeft onlangs het stokje overgedragen aan de <a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/\/be-nl\/press\/mg-zs-ev-met-vernieuwd-design-grotere-actieradius-en-meer-technologie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vernieuwde ZS EV<\/a>. De innovatieve familie-SUV is nu te bewonderen bij de MG Brand Stores, samen met de <a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/\/be-nl\/waarom-de-mg-ehs-plug-in-hybrid-uitstekend-geschikt-is-voor-elke-dag-emissievrij-rijden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid<\/a> en de geheel nieuwe <a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/\/be-nl\/press\/mg-presenteert-nieuwe-marvel-r-electric\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MG Marvel R Electric<\/a>. De nieuwe <a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/\/be-nl\/press\/mg-unveils-new-mg5-electric-worlds-first-all-electric-station-wagon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MG5
