De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, une voiture \u00e0 essence classique consomme en moyenne 17.000 litres de carburant durant son cycle de vie. Ces chiffres proviennent d\u2019une nouvelle \u00e9tude men\u00e9e par Transport &amp; Environment (T&amp;E), qui d\u00e9montre que la d\u00e9pendance vis-\u00e0-vis du p\u00e9trole brut en Europe est bien plus importante que le besoin en mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res pour les batteries des VE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportenvironment.org\/publications\/batteries-vs-oil-comparison-raw-material-needs\">Selon les chercheurs<\/a>, la diff\u00e9rence au niveau du besoin en mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res augmentera encore avec le d\u00e9veloppement continu de la technologie des batteries. Selon les pr\u00e9visions, nous n\u2019aurons plus besoin dans dix ans que de la moiti\u00e9 de la quantit\u00e9 actuelle de lithium pour la production des&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/development.news.larva.cloud\/be-fr\/tout-ce-que-vous-devez-savoir-a-propos-du-rechargement-d-une-voiture-electrique\/\">batteries<\/a> de VE. La quantit\u00e9 de cobalt n\u00e9cessaire baissera de plus de 75%. Et celle de nickel d\u2019environ 20%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toujours selon T&amp;E, en 2035, plus d\u2019un cinqui\u00e8me de tout le lithium et 65% du cobalt n\u00e9cessaire pourrait provenir du recyclage si la l\u00e9gislation plus stricte en mati\u00e8re de recyclage propos\u00e9e par la Commission europ\u00e9enne est adopt\u00e9e. Ce n\u2019est pas le cas des carburants consomm\u00e9s par les voitures conventionnelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Moins d\u2019\u00e9nergie consomm\u00e9e<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 du fait que les voitures \u00e9lectriques n\u00e9cessitent moins de mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res que celles utilisant des carburants fossiles, les VE sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement meilleurs pour le climat. Cette \u00e9tude montre \u00e9galement qu\u2019un VE consomme sur l\u2019ensemble de son cycle de vie 58% d\u2019\u00e9nergie en moins qu\u2019une voiture \u00e0 essence comparable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportenvironment.org\/what-we-do\/electric-cars\/how-clean-are-electric-cars\">l\u2019outil d\u2019analyse du cycle de vie<\/a> de T&amp;E, m\u00eame en Pologne, le pays poss\u00e9dant la production \u00e9lectrique la plus polluante d\u2019Europe, les \u00e9missions de CO2 (indirectes) d\u2019une voiture \u00e9lectrique sont encore inf\u00e9rieures de 22% \u00e0 celles d\u2019une voiture \u00e0 essence comparable.MG s\u2019est fix\u00e9 pour mission de permettre \u00e0 chacun d\u2019avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique, ne proposant d\u00e9j\u00e0 que des voitures \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9es.
